Delicious sushi! I love coming here. Used to go to their previous location & was bummed out when I thought they had closed. So glad I saw their new location and recently visited with a friend. Food and service is still great, definitely recommend!
I used to live in Evanston and this was one of my favorites. I met a friend for lunch and we went here. The food was still good and the service was friendly and fast. I had a bento lunch box which was quite filling. The ambiance is casual but enjoyable for a friend lunch, date night or groups
The food was delish and so were the Thai iced tea and the homemade ginger ale the fried chicken wings are so good and crispy and the sushi is really good good too. The service was really friendly we got our food really quick. The place is so cool they have toys and plushies in the restaurant.
My Mom loves ordering from this place when I am in town. Momma Love's the 'Gyoza' and Dumplings. We Also Love the Shrimp Tempura. I always order the 'Tom Yum Chicken Soup' I am not sure if they have brown rice. They deliver promptly as well. Rain or Snow or Holiday
Just ordered from Dozika for a party of 16. I didn't know what quantities I needed for sushi, apps, and entrees, so I let them drive the bus and let them know that I wanted orange chicken, broccoli beef, and yellow curry chicken for entrees. They gave me the PERFECT amount of food (half trays of each entree, two appetizer party platters with edamame, crab rangoon, and fried fish dumplings (I think on that last one - whatever they were they were delicious), a fantastic tray of sushi and sashimi, and another tray of rolls. All for about $20/head. DELICIOUS, fresh, high-quality food. Dozika is the bomb for lunch and dinner and their catering did not disappoint! NEW LOCATION in Evanston is on Davis Street!!!!
Cam here last night for the first time. I was amazed at the menu. A huge selection. I had the tempura appetizer and the crispy soft noodles and banana freeze. The food came out quickly and the portion size was generous. Way too much food. There were 2 shrimp with the onions broccoli crowns and sweet potato. It was kinda of thick batter but it was decent. Probably won't order again just because I like the thin flakey batter. The crispy soft noodles comes with a choice of a meat which I didn't know. I had the beef. This was quite good with a nice curry flavor. Lots of crispy noodles and soft flat rice noodles. The banana freeze reminded me of the fruit smoothies I got in Taiwan. A large portion and really good. I will definitely return to try the other items on the menu.
Getting Asian is easy around here. If not picky about how authentic it is. Dozika is such a restaurant in Evanston. Mostly get some Japanese inspired items along with some Chinese and Thai. The lunch specials are good for sushi and the rest is a value. At lunch is a good time to come here. It was the cheap specials that made us choose it. These are real money savers. It's about $10 each. We got the Lunch Special, Sushi Set. Comes with a bowl of miso soup which was simple yet good. Quite a lot of food to be real. Choose which rolls to get in it. We got the Avocado Maki, Kappa Maki, and Sweet Potato Tempura Maki. A good deal. Plenty of food for two people. Fresh tasting even though it came out fast. The tempura had a nice crunch and it added texture. Come here for cheap specials at lunch. It's the best time to come here and save on rolls. This isn't quite authentic but whatever.
